Special:PrefixIndex and Modern skin don't play well

Transcluding Special:PrefixIndex with the skin set to Modern causes the error

Fatal error: require(): Cannot redeclare class skinmonobook in /var/www/brickwiki.org/htdocs/skins/Modern.php on line 13  

when one attempts to load the page. Proximate cause is likely the use of require() rather than require_once() on line 13 of Modern.php. Ultimate cause is probably something in the PrefixIndex script. vec: link broken

I don't know, and I don't think so. I took a peek yesterday, and I think it's supposed to render something or link to something where now, being broken, it renders or links to nothing. I'll look a bit deeper when I have a mind to read Ven's mind. ALittleSlowTest 00:03, 14 February 2013 (CST)

Account Confirmation disabled

A while back I added account confirmation, then an IP address blacklisting feature to cut down on spam. Well since then we've had no spam, but we've also had only a couple or three new users. I think the blacklist alone may be sufficient, so I'd like to see if we can do without the inconvenience of the account confirmation. I've disabled it, so we'll need to see if spam picks up over the next month or two. ALITTLESlow: t/c 20:57, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

Well, it only took 10 minutes for three spam accounts to be created. I re-enabled E-mail confirm to edit. But Account Confirmation is still disabled for the moment. ALITTLESlow: t/c 21:19, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

That was a short moment. In the time it took to make the last post, two more spam accounts were created. Good thing the server is slow today. Anyway, I *disabled* E_mail confirm to edit, but *enabled* Confirm Accounts. We'll see what that does. ALITTLESlow: t/c 21:23, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
