Greater Florida LEGO Users Group (GFLUG) is the LUG for those who like to meet and show off their MOCs.

History

The group started with Robin Werner, Mark and KK Quah back in the Summer of 2000. They held the first GFLUG meeting at Mark's place and talked for at least an hour about forming this group and building with LEGO bricks. Today the group has an ever growing membership and meets/displays at numerous events in Florida and around the world.

Group Purpose

  1. Provide a place for Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs) to meet and share ideas.
  2. Provide members a chance to display their creations.
  3. Promote building with LEGO bricks as a hobby in the state of Florida and around the world.
  4. Just have fun...

Group Goals

Create environment for the exchange of ideas, information, and skills relevant to LEGO brand of building bricks and to promote the hobby. Be an active group of delegates to the public and the LEGO Company, by displaying the endless possibilities of LEGO brand of building bricks.

Group Activities

  1. Maintain an on-line presence though the web sites, news letter and news groups.
  2. Conduct group meeting on a regular basis.
  3. Attend other related LEGO and Hobby events around the world.

No formal governance. Decisions are made by consensus among active members after discussion. The website is donated and there is no treasury.
