A LEGO Users Group or LUG is a group of people that meet to discuss the LEGO hobby and partipate in public and private events.

This includes both groups that meet in real life (IRL) (such as MichLUG and GardenSLUG) and online communities (such as LUGNET and JLUG). A group which focuses on building trains and associated landscapes is called an LTC (for LEGO Train Club).

A LUG may be open or closed, charge membership or be free an may allow only adults as members. It is advisable to check out a groups website and familiarize yourself with their new member policies before attending a meeting.

Most often you will see these groups referred to by their acronyms (as above). For a complete listing go the category:LUGs.
