Set titles are the names LEGO give to their building sets. Usually printed on larger sets some small sets are named by LEGO but have no name printed on the packaging, probably due to lack of space.

Inconsistencies

Set titles are not consistent as some sets have been issued under different names in different markets. For example Metro Station (4554) was released under that name in North America but the same set was called Central Station in the UK. Both used the same Set number which helps avoid confusion.

There have also been sets with virtually identical elements released under different titles and numbers. The Dino Attack/Dino 2010 series consisted of sets with only minor differences in the elements used but using different titles and numbers.

Nomenclature

LEGO describes sets using the format Set Title (Set Number) which BrickWiki has chosen to emulate as a convention.
