Talk:Colour change

Could someone with a good digital camera take a photograph of 1x2 bricks in the three transformed colours lying alongside the orginals. Like this:

[Grey ][Bley ]

That would be a very useful addition to the page. Tim 05:54, 31 July 2005 (Eastern Daylight Time)

BTW. If anyone wishes to swap the article with Blay (as in make Bley the redirect) I am OK for it to be done. The term 'blay' was first and I am happy to ackowledge that in the article heading. I only found out after creating the article or I would have already done so. Tim 07:11, 31 July 2005 (Eastern Daylight Time)

Well played!

...on grabbing this one before I could get Color change created, Tim! ++Lar 15:05, 4 August 2005 (Eastern Daylight Time)

Unspoken purpose?

"...was created with the unspoken purpose of providing an outlet for the anger... " Is this just a claim being made in the article, or is there a supporting reference somewhere? If there's no source for this, then it should be removed. Claude Bombarde 02:42, 10 April 2007 (EDT)

I believe there was some complaint in .trains about people complaining repeatedly about bley which caused .color to mysteriously appear with a request that all further discussion go there. I'm pretty sure it's not too hard to find and my memory says it involved Ben Beneke. I think the section can be left in as I know there is/are cites for it but I can't be bothered to go looking for them and unless someone actively disagrees with the statement I'm happy enough to see it left as it. In my view the term "unspoken purpose" identifies the claim as unsubstantiated . I think deleting the word "unspoken" would solve the problem - I am happy for not every statement on BW to be substantiated, but to have an article making claims that things have unspoken purposes is just not right. The controversy

I know that people complain about the color change all the time. I looked up this article in the hopes of discovering what all the hub bub was about. Why don't AFOLs like the new colors? I don't want to wade through LUGNET to try to figure it out. Is anyone up to the challenge of summarizing fo me? -Howarthe 20:06, 3 June 2007 (EDT)
